FILIPINKI
Polish female vocal group. They started in 1959 at the “shop girl training school” (Technikum Handlowe) in Szczecin on the Polish north western border with Gremany. The band was put together as a pet project of their economics and music teacher Jan Janikowski. Good for him. He spawned some hot rocking awesome group of chicks that almost took over the world. Well, the Eastern Block world at least. They did play in Sweden and UK at some point. They are awesome!!!!

I guess Anna Jantar was the lady singing in this band. She later became a famous pop star who died in the plane crash. I bet that they really wanted to rock out but the committee for cultural affairs was not interested in putting their psychedelic stuff out, so as a result, they decided to go with some weird rendition of some weird military patriotic song. Very cool!
